The history begins with John and Bryon
Heighington's great-grandfather, Herbert Edward, who did laundry
on British navy ships in 1857. In 1915 he opened Camrose Steam Laundry
in Alberta, after which his son Herbert opened a drycleaning business.
Eventually, John's father Norm took over the business and, in 1947,
opened the Prince George Steam Laundry, the city's first commercial
and industrial drycleaner.
Norm moved his business to Terrace at a later date.

& Onsight Embroidery on Emmerson street across from the post
office.
Their brother Ken owns three Spotless Drycleaning locations, one
suede and leather cleaning plant, three laundromats and B.C.'s newest
industrial laundry, in Prince George.
